Saluzzo is located in Monviso valley and it is a wonderful example of medieval and piedmontese architectures as it preserves the urban characteristics of different eras within the ancient walls. Saluzzo was the capital of the indipendend Maquisate for 4 centuries and it is considered a city of art thanks to the testimonies of its noble and rich past. Palaces, hidden squares and historic streets offer extraordinary views. Do not miss San Giovanni Church, Casa Cavassa and the Cathedral.
Staffarda Abbey is an impressive and articulate complex of buildings dating back to the twelfth century, including the abbey church, the cloister, the guest quarters, the covered market. It is less than 15 km away.

The severe medieval fortress preserves its austerity despite many renovation works transformed it into a luxury mansion. Impressive Gothic frescoes decorate the lounges. Legends and ghosts still seem live in the castle
Built in the twelfth century as a military outpost, it first turned into a real stronghold. In the fifteenth centuryit was transformed into a noble palace by Marquis Valerano, founder of the Saluzzo della Manta family.
In a strategic position close to wild valleys of Cuneo dominated by the Monviso, the refined Turin (1-hour drive)and the Langhe renowned for wine and for being a very "gourmet" area
