Palacongressi in Rimini is the largest building constructed from the beginning in Italy for the organization of conferences.
Designed by the German architect Wolkin Marg of GMP studio in Hamburg, the imposing structure is characterized by a fascinating and futuristic shape of a shell suspended in the air and rises in the area of 38,000 square meters, which until 2001 was occupied by the old fairgrounds. Its location just a short walk from the city center makes the centre reachable both public transport and on foot. The management is entrusted to the Riviera Convention Bureau of Rimini, which has transferred its offices here. There are 39 meeting halls, for a total of 9,000 seats.
The Sala della Piazza is the largest and can accommodate up to 4,700 seats.
Point of excellence: Huge Spaces
