Massimiliano Volonterio is the Executive Chef of Palmaria Restaurant at Grand Hotel Portovenere

Since 2019 season, Massimiliano Volonterio arrived as Executive Chef of Palmaria Restaurant at 5-star Grand Hotel Portovenere located in the namesake UNESCO world heritage site.

Born in 1980 and raised as a chef at Grand Hotel Villa d’Este (Lake Como), he achieved great experience in the hospitality and in gourmet restaurants both in Italy and abroad.
During his career, he spent two years – from 2014 to 2016 – as sous-chef at Maison Alain Ducasse and then from 2017 to 2019 as Executive Chef at Tombolo Talasso Resort.

At Palmaria Restaurant, he loves to create gourmet menus combining the traditional Mediterranean flavours with international cuisine, and carefully choosing raw materials and local products.
