Freelance journalist. Press office and marketing consultant in promoting  venues and territories.

Freelance journalist specialized in press offices, Carla Solari started working in international advertising agencies (Ogilvy & Mather, Troost-Campbell-Ewald, Leo Burnett) and lately becoming Client Service Director in Pirella-Göttsche-Lowe.
While in advertising, she worked for a variety of product in different sectors (food: Barilla Mulino Bianco, Star, Santa Margherita wines – detergents: Dash line by Procter&Gamble, Vernel by Henkel – luxury goods: Valentino perfumes).

In tourism field, she worked for BTA (British Tourist Authority), Holiday Inn, British Airways, Consorzio Costa Smeralda.
She has been also the European coordinator for the Zanussi washing machine brand advertising.

When she became partner with Marco Sorrentino, she started the press office activity and she collaborated with Condé Nast Traveler, Bell’Italia, Itinerari e Luoghi in order to promote and to create editorial contents about Bellagio and the Province of Como.
As a ghostwriter she realizes press kits both for locazions and territories.

Thanks to the her knowledge of marketing and specialization in tourism, in 2010 she created, in partnership with Marco Sorrentino, the ItaliaConvention.it portal dedicated to enhance the Italian culture in the meeting industry and to promote Italian venues in Italy and abroad.

In 2016 she realized with her own company the ItalybyEvents.com website as a new way to make people aware on how many different and interesting experiences they may have during a trip in Italy, from the most cultured to those more traditional and popular. So musical festivals, lyric, exhibitions, festivals, historical re-enactments, activities for children …
The second new idea of ItalybyEvents.com is  to promote together territories and events, sot that people may enjoy and know something more about the region where they are.

For the Ministry of Equal Opportunities, in 2008, she curated the graphic design for the exhibition World Comics  for Human Rights.

She taught in communication training courses for public administration’s manager and for the WWF (Women’s World Banking).
She is Master Advanced in NLP.

She is a member of the Bellisario Foundation for the enhancement of female competency recognition at work, and member of MPI (Meeting Professionals International), the leading association of meeting industry professionals with over 17,000 members worldwide. In the two-year period 2013-2015, she was Vice President in the MPI Italia Chapter’s board.
