World Sport Tourism Show at Milan Malpensa Fiere on 27-30 September 2018.
Among the many different sectors of the tourism industry, sports tourism is undoubtedly one of the most interesting and promising – not only because of the huge number of people that big events produce, but also for the increasing number of athletes who travel alone to practise their sports.
Teams and athletes playing away games, supporters following their favourite teams, families following the athletes, sports camps for kids, etc: a wide range of products and services, and a large revenue.
On this account, the World Sport Tourism Show, the first world fair dedicated to sports and accessible tourism which also includes Leisure, Environment and Wellness, was born. An all-around fair, that speaks to and involves all industry operators, professionals and users.
The fair is organised by T.W.I.S. slr, company operating in Latina specialised in tourism marketing research and development, and STevents srl, event planning company operating in Milan.
The venue is Malpensa Fiere (VA); its 23,000-sqm exhibition area will host stands of business operators of the sports and accessible tourism, sports medicine, sports nutrition and publishing industries.
The WST Show takes place on 27-30 September 2018, in conjunction with the European Week of Sport. Over 450 exhibitors, 250 buyers and 30,000 visitors are expected at the event.
The fair will be B2B-oriented, with scheduled meetings between operators, daily conferences for operators, equipment and system presentations.
But it will also be B2C, aimed at athletes, audience and families.
The WST Show will also cover the topic of Accessible Sports Tourism, for all those tourists who need special infrastructures and dedicated services and attentions, such as elderly and disabled people, and those with specific dietary needs.
For “regular” visitors: sporting events, exhibitions, competitions, equipment to try in the sports village, and outdoor activities with professional teams and athletes.
The show will showcase everything involving sports and tourism, for three days of passion, fun, information and awareness.
