A research conducted by Coldiretti and presented during Vinitaly in Verona revealed a €10.6 billion turnover in 2017.
A record turnover for Italian wines and spumante in 2017: over €10.6 billion, meaning a +5% rise. Exports are also at an all-time high, with €6 billion (+6%).
The national market is worth €4.6 billion, thanks to a +2% increase in domestic consumption.
The United States are once again Italy’s first customer (+4%), followed by Germany (+1%) and the United Kingdom.
These are the main findings of the research conducted by Coldiretti and presented at Vinitaly in Verona in April 2018.
