IAPCO makes quality requirements stricter

September 2016

IAPCO has discussed and approved stricter quality requirements to become member of the Association.

IAPCO’s members have always been required to achieve high quality standards to become accredited members of the Association.
In order to maintain that status prospect members have to undergo strict quality control every year. If they fail to meet the established criteria, the member is labeled as “under examination” or, alternatively, “suspended” and, finally, if it is unable to satisfy the criteria, “membership terminated”.

These new stricter quality standards have have been approved by members. It is encouraging that the Association has recently received many new membership requests by companies that strive to meet IAPCO quality requirements. After a detailed scrutiny, only four requests have been accepted.
The new IAPCO members are:
• Conference & Events from Dublin, Ireland
• MeetAgain Konferens AB from Solna, Sweden
• MCO Congrès from Marseilles, France
• OIC Group from Florence, Italy
With its four new members, IAPCO includes now 120 associated companies from 42 countries. IAPCO continues its pursuit of excellence in the industry.

IAPCO (International Association of Professional Congress Organizers) was founded in Switzerland in 1968. Its headquarter is located in the UK. It represents 120 professional congress organizers in 42 countries. In 2015, IAPCO’s associated members organized more than 8,500 meetings with 3,16 million participants, generating 5,12 billion Euros of economic impact. The main goal of the Association is to increase quality standards among its members and in the whole meeting industry.
