
On Friday, June 14, Stefania Auci presented her book “I Leoni di Sicilia” about the Florio family. Followed by “dinner with the author”
“I Leoni di Sicilia” (the Sicilian lions), one of the most successful Italian books of the last few months, is a novel written by Stefania Auci narrating Florio family’s captivating history: entrepreneurs, aficionados and visionaries, adventurers and art lovers that pushed Sicily into modernity.
On Friday, June 14, Stefania Auci paid homage to the Florio family right in Marsala at Cantine Florio, founded in 1833 by Vincenzo Florio. In the end, some discernment regarding good food and refined wine.
The soirée started at 6 pm with Stefania introducing her book and reading some passages (free entrance), followed by a tasting dinner (limited number of seats and by reservation only)
4 fish courses are combined with 4 Florio wines.
This meeting was the first in a series that Cantine Florio proposes with the same formula: presentation of a book (free admission) followed by a dinner with the author (reservation only and limited places)
