Staff training and the strength of a region that was able to open safely before others
Almar Jesolo, the 5-star resort with 5 meeting rooms, reopened after an intense staff training program held by the Health and Safety Manager, in the presence of Luca Boccato, CEO of HNH Hospitality.
The first weekend after reopening has been the long weekend at the beginning of June and it was a good trial run and a great source of satisfaction for the venue in Lido di Jesolo. Guests were glad to treat themselves with a short beach holiday in a hotel carefully provided with all the safety and well-being measures.
For now, the hotel and restaurant are totally open while the SPA is only partially open.
The wet-area of Almablu SPA is still closed, while massages and treatments are available just upon reservation with a half-hour break between one appointment and another, so as to allow rooms to air out and cabins to be sanitized. All Almablu staff wear gloves, masks and visors and, where contact with guests is required, they clean their hands with sanitizer before and after the massage/treatment.
As for meetings, Almar Jesolo is still waiting for the necessary regulations from the Region in order to reopen the Congress Center.
In particular, the 420 square meters of Almar Room are equipped with removable seats so that they can be easily set up to keep the safe interpersonal distance required.
In addition to staff training, the safety measures adopted by Almar Jesolo for the safety of guests are:
Check-in and check-out
Safety distances – The ways to the front desk have been rearranged in order to keep the safety distance among guests, and the reception stations have also been reduced to 3 to ensure the distance among operators too.
Sanitation – Operators sanitize their hands before and after each guest and sanitize the pen and tablets that guests use to put their signature, along with key cards, every time.
Upon guests’ request and with their explicit consent of the data subject, the reception staff can check the guests’ temperature.
Safety devices: masks and gloves
All collaborators are equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE).
Customers are required to wear a safety mask inside the resort and in indoor areas. Outdoors it is not necessary, both in Almar and in Veneto Region.
Room cleaning
The rooms are cleaned and sanitized daily. In addition, the rooms are assigned to new guests only 72 hours after the departure of the previous guest (maximum survival time of the virus on surfaces according to WHO).
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Breakfast has been rearranged from scratch and it is served both at the table by the dining room staff, and on hermetically sealed disposable portions. Drinks are served by the waiters, as well as sugar, which is no longer available in the classic paper bags, but in cubes which are placed in hot drinks by the waiter.
The tables in the restaurant have been rearranged to ensure the interpersonal distance of at least 1 meter.
Lunch and dinner à la carte are regularly served at the table or it is available the room service.
The dining room staff wears a safety mask.
Tables and chairs are sanitized after each use.
Beach and swimming pool
Sunbeds on the beach are 6 meters away from each other.
Poolside loungers are 3 meters apart
Obviously they are specially sanitized
The outdoor swimming pool is 70 meters long x 8 meters wide so it is easy for guests to keep the interpersonal distance.
In any case, also for the indoor swimming pool, the staff monitors access to the water to avoid gatherings.
From Jesolo to Venice
For guests who wish to enjoy a small trip, Almar Jesolo can also organize motorboat excursions to Venice.
